Formed in Austin, Texas in 2012, Vilamoura began as a raw punk-rock project before quickly evolving into a bold metalcore and post-hardcore act defined by dual-vocal dynamics, melodic choruses, and crushing guitar-driven soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from modern heavyweights like I Prevail, Bad Omens, and Bring Me the Horizon, Vilamoura weaves together anthemic hooks, emotional intensity, and aggressive riffing into a unique and emotionally charged sound.

By late 2013, the band solidified its lineup as a two-vocalist powerhouse, establishing the blueprint for their signature style. In 2015, they officially debuted under the name Vilamoura with the release of their EP Buried Alive—a hard-hitting introduction that captured attention for its blend of heavy energy and accessible emotion. 

After a six-year hiatus, Vilamoura made a striking return to the scene in late 2022 with their single Bitter, followed by Let Me Out in early 2023. These releases marked a renewed creative direction, but it was December 1, 2023’s Double Down that redefined the band’s sound, message, and momentum. The track’s success fueled a surge in fan engagement, resulting in a 200% increase in followers across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and a staggering 2000% growth on Spotify. 

With a sharp focus on branding, show promotion, and audience connection, Vilamoura is more than a band making a comeback —they’re building a movement.
