Trash Panda
Bio
The Orlando, Florida-based raccoon-themed slamming deathgrind trio Trash Panda has made it its mission to spread its distinctive brand of death metal throughout the Florida extreme music scene. The band burst onto the scene in 2021 with its debut EP, Valley of Junk, unleashing a relentless barrage of crushing riffs and savage intensity.
Drawing inspiration from bands such as Pig Destroyer, Cattle Decapitation, and Devourment, Trash Panda blends a unique mix of influences into a furious assault of rabid, nightmarish, and often darkly humorous musical imagery—all centered around raccoons.
Following the self-release of Valley of Junk in September 2021, the band signed with Brutal Mind Records and Fat Tub of Lard Records to release its debut full-length album, Pawns of the Putrid God, in November 2022. Featuring guest appearances from C.J. McMahon and Larry Wang, the album significantly expanded the band’s lore, imagery, and overall concept.
After touring throughout 2023 and 2024, Trash Panda continued to grow its catalog with the release of the 2024 EP Devour Their Scraps, followed by the standalone single Discovered in the Crawlspace, which included a bonus cover of Mortician’s “Rabid.”
With a combination of brutal slams, relentless speed, and an unmistakable raccoon-fueled identity, Trash Panda continues to establish itself as one of Florida’s most distinctive and entertaining extreme metal acts.
