Who The Hell are The Normas?

The Normas are Georgia’s Indie Heartthrobs.

The group was founded in 2019 by vocalist and guitarist Logan Swaim with the release of a self-produced EP under an alternate moniker. After a brief hiatus, he entered 2021 as The Normas. Josh Mellman joined the project later that year on vocals and keyboards. The two began writing and releasing songs together, and after nights spent tearing down the house and gaining a following at local shows, the singles compilation “All Fer You” was released.

The band then gained their rhythm section in Trent Golden on drums and Charles Glausier on bass, with the lineup being rounded out with Lars Smallwood on guitar. The Normas released their debut album, “Sweet Nothings,” in July of 2022, and have continued to play shows across Georgia and Alabama. With their second LP in the rearview, the indie outfit are headed into 2025 bright eyed and bushy tailed, anticipating what the future holds.
