Bio

Rising from the depths of the bass music world underground, SQUNTO quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. Gaining support and recognition far and wide, SQUNTO has come on strong combining unparalleled skills behind the decks with genre-defining tracks supported by some of the biggest names in Dubstep. Cinematic intros, dark undertones and bruising basslines, mixed and chopped with the highest degree of technical skill on a deadly soundsystem are the hallmarks of a SQUNTO performance.

SQUNTO’s breakout collaboration with German deathstep artist Code:Pandorum “Wall of Death” took the bass music scene completely by storm, creating a cultural movement and further amalgamating the quickly blurring lines between heavy bass music and metal culture. Crowds all over the world have split to ‘wall of death’ themselves and artists like Downlink and Figure have made it a staple in their sets. Since then, SQUNTO has gone on to redefine heavy bass music with releases such as “Sayim,” “Deth Bounce” and “Justa,” as well pushing the needle with new classics like “Thunderdome” w/ Subtronics and “Lit” w/ Boogie T.

What especially sets SQUNTO apart from the pack is his ability to perform live. Ushering in a new paradigm of what is possible with audio + video synchronicity are his infamous MegaChop sets which see the master chopping up to eight tracks simultaneously. Not to be outdone with the Ableton-based MegaChop, SQUNTO is also a surgeon behind the CDJ decks with his patented doubles, tripples, mash-ups, and even quad drops.

With a slew of international dates, huge festivals and relentless performances across North America, including the co-headline ‘Strike Back Tour’ with Boogie T and support on Snails’ ‘The Shell Tour’ in 2018, as well the direct support slot for Excision’s 2019 ‘Apex Tour,’ SQUNTO continues to grow and to carve out his unique place in bass music. Those who have witnessed his acts of low-end destruction and follow his online presence know that SQUNTO is destined for very big things.
