Formed in Bavarian small town Landsberg the four young musicians (age in average 23) are already nearly ten years active as a band, as they started playing together as teenagers and quickly gained people´s attention. Through the steps every real band has to go and through hundreds of dumps and dirty venues, these four kids early made their name known in local scenes.  In 2010  the first Demo Tape „Chaos Possession“  was released single-handedly. That was the first time the name  DUST BOLT graced a metal band´s CD. Metal Hammer Germany described the Band as Top Newcomer Act in Metal music and „Chaos Possession“ was titled as „Demotape of the month.“  right afterwards. As the number of live shows increased immediately and the band soon became a national known act, DUST BOLT was able to play their first European Tour together with Six feet under when several members weren´t even eigtheen years old. Right after coming home from tour the band was able to win WACKEN METAL BATTLE Germany which finally made them playing at Wacken:Open:Air 2011. Followed up to that, the band decided to record their first Longplayer „Violent Demolition“, which emerged in signing a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records from Austria.

Their debut gained major success and was sold over 5000 times so far worldwide. The band reached the status as one of the top newcomer acts in Thrash Metal in Germany and all over the world, also resulting from their extraordinary and high intense live performances. A tour through Germany with Death Metal legends OBITUARY and a long European Tour with Bay Area band HEATHEN follow. After being nominated for „best album 2012“ and „best newcomer“ at Metal Hammer Awards 2013, another tour with Crossover band Dr.LIVING DEAD increased their European fanbase. Lenny Bruce, Flo Dehn, Ben Münzel und Nico Rayman went into the studio again, to record the second album „AWAKE THE RIOT“, which got to be released worldwide in June 2014. The second album finally enabled the band to tour as a headlining act and play Clubshows and Festivals all over Europe. The band also joined on a European Tour with Death Metal Legends OBITUARY, invited by drummer Donald Tardy personally. Supported by international media, who calls the band as one of the top Newcomer Acts in Thrash Metal worldwide now, the band continued touring and playing major festivals.

Bringing all these experiences together, the band decided to record their awaited 3rd album in 2016 entitled „Mass Confusion“. DUST BOLT would no longer be a mayfly or just another young surprise. With the third album the band reaches for a statement in Thrash Metal music in the twentyfirst century and combines their typical style with way more melody, playing abilities and stronger song structures. The release of „Mass Confusion“ in July 2016 allows the band to play a busy festival summer, including major festivals such as Hellfest Open Air in France or Rockavaria.With an unique stage performance, differing setlists and jamming on stage these four horsemen are bringing their interpretation of Thrash Metal  to a new level by making every show an especial experience. The band will go out and tour as headlining act through Europe from September on to December 2016, while the rest of the world is waiting for their dose of Mass Confusion to arrive in their town..
