THE JOB

We are seeking a full-time, entry-level Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team here at The Masquerade. Ideal applicants should be highly self-motivated, able to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong time management and organizational skills.

Job Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Full-time – Entry Level
Pay Range: $18-21 / hour

The position is designed to be worked Monday – Friday during the day at the office at Underground Atlanta. The position is entry-level and best suited for recent college grads. Some limited weekend work is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Copywriting, scheduling, and publishing social media posts across platforms
  • Owning and maintaining the social media content calendar
  • Creating timely editorial and engagement-based social content around artists, trends, announcements, and cultural moments
  • Monitoring artist releases, online trends, fan conversations, and performance analytics to inform content strategy
  • Interacting with fans online and occasionally onsite at shows
  • Website maintenance / adding and updating event listings
  • Maintaining the photo archive
  • Coordinating and maintaining Street Team efforts
  • Keeping organized and up to speed in email communications
  • Assisting artist teams and marketing management with campaigns and special projects
  • Occasional errands and other duties as needed to support successful shows

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A love for live music and concert culture
  • Familiarity with music scenes, genres, and emerging artists
  • Familiarity with The Masquerade and The Masquerade’s brand voice
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and internet culture
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media analytics
  • Strong copywriting skills with excellent spelling, grammar, and attention to detail
  • Ability to think creatively and proactively rather than simply executing assigned tasks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates self-sufficiency, initiative, openness to feedback, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects

The Masquerade (Masquerade, Inc.) is a live music venue and concert promoter based in Atlanta, GA. Established in 1990, our venue is based at Underground Atlanta and spans across four stages. We promote 700+ shows and events each year within our own venue, throughout the city of Atlanta, and beyond.
