In June 2020, the first sound source with frontman ザスター’s participation was released on NEW RAVE’s standard bearer Gabber Eleganza’s label NEVER SLEEP, “PRINCIPLE OF LIGHT SPEED INVARIANCE ep”.

In February 2023, they will appear at the CTM festival in Berlin and play at Berghain, receiving rave reviews. In June, after exciting the audience at Tasmania’s dark festival DARK mofo, they performed a spectacular AV live on a 17m x 30m giant screen at Sydney’s SOFT CENTER. DIGITAL AFTERLIFE AGENCY, a work by Taiwanese visual artist Yuen Hsieh, who provided collaborative VR work and music with ommatidium studios for Sonar festival 2023, will be exhibited.

They embarked on their second European tour of the same year, including festivals such as Ritournelle, Night of Surprise, Skanu Mezs and Soulcrusher. And received rave reviews from many audiences.

Immediately after returning to Japan, they performed at NEX_FEST sponsored by BRING ME THE HORIZON held at Makuhari Messe with BABYMETAL, MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, YOASOBI, and others, making it their first major festival appearance in Japan and shocking the audience.

Recently, VMO has been featured in the Japanese metal magazine “HEADBANG!”, and has been featured in the UK’s prestigious the WIRE, which has given them exposure that highlights the uniqueness of this project, which goes beyond both extremes.

In the spring of 2024, from NEVER SLEEP,VMO will release long-awaited second album “DEATH RAVE” on vinyl, CD, and streaming, featuring gorgeous guests from across genres such as techno, hardcore, and black metal.
