The Lonely Few
Bio
The lonely Few is a Indie Folk string band hailing from North Georgia that weaves a rich tapestry of musical tales. Comprising of Leica Wilde on the fiddle, Tyler Bramblett on the mandolin, and Britton Bass on guitar, this trio brings a fresh and authentic perspective to the realm of Appalachian-inspired music.
we formed the band under the name “Britton Bass and the Lonely Few.” Britton is the lead singer and songwriter, so it made since for us to put his name up front. Before becoming an acoustic trio, we were a full-on rock band. You can hear this in our EP, “This One’s For You,” which we released in 2023. The track “Nine to Five” gaining rapid popularity within the folk punk scene.
In the beginning of 2024, tides shifted and the band was reduced in size to just three people. We went from being a rock band to a three piece string band, which presented its own challenges, but as we found, opened us up to a new kind of music we were all very excited to play.
Before the project, we all were rather isolated as musicians, and dealing with our own hardships in life. The pandemic was incredibly hard on musicians and creatives, and I think coming out of it, the three of us felt like we really needed to find community through music again. This project has given all of that and more. We’re able to be vulnerable onstage, to challenge ourselves as musicians, and to form a greater community of listeners and friends who enjoy our music.
