Tall Juan

Bio

When you go to a Tall Juan show, one thing is for sure, your emotions will rise.  He’ll take you for a ride going through a wide variety of sounds, from ‘Punk,’ ‘Cumbia,’ ‘Garage,’ ‘Rock’ to whatever he feels like doing at that moment.
Argentinean Tall Juan transplanted in Far Rockaway, has managed to evade labels and put out songs that only an Elvis Latino inspired by Ramones and South American Sounds could deliver.  His live shows are like a shot of adrenaline, bringing joy, dance and headbanging to everybody in the crowd.

The lyrics of Tall Juan are autobiographical nuggets about everything from drug addiction to perils of dating someone to living in South America and the Queens County.

With two EPs “Why Not?” (2015) “Joya Nedo” (2017) and his recent LP “Olden Goldies” (2017), Tall Juan has played more than 350 Shows in just 4 years, within his current home New York City, and with three extensive tours through the USA, two South American tours in 2017, three European tours in 2016 and 2017, and at some of the biggest festivals in the world such as Coachella 2017 and SXSW 2018, plus his recent shows in Japan, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

In 2015, Juan brought to light Why Not? his first EP.  Recorded and mixed by Mac Demarco and Tall Juan at his home in Far Rockaway, NY.  With a great influence of Ramones, Tall Juan sings with passion and anger to a lost love or maybe never found. Why Not? is a group of three original love songs plus the cover of Dee Dee Ramone’s “Chinese Rock” played by Tall Juan on the guitar and vocals as well as his friends Juan Wauters on drums and Dee Dee’s wife, Barbara Ramone Zampini on the bass as special guests.
