Rich Homie Quan

Bio

At just 23 years old, Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan is set to take the music industry by storm. Born DeQuantes Lamar on October 4, 1989, “Quan” as close friends and family know him, is the eldest of three siblings that were raised in a single family home. Originally having dreams of becoming a professional baseball player, Quan could not ignore his passion for music.

Possessing an undeniable talent for storytelling, Quan’s focus quickly changed to rapping. Dedicating countless hours in the studio, Quan began churning out street hit after hit, which eventually resulted in the 2008 smash “Stay Down” featuring the Stack Money Boys.
Beginning to make his mark in Atlanta, “Stay Down” became a hood favorite and solidified the start of a promising rap career for Quan.

The beginning quickly came to an unfortunate halt when Quan found himself on the wrong side of the law, which cost him over a year of his freedom. With a faithful following and committed team, they continued to push Quan’s music for his undying fans.

Released in 2011, Quan returned to making music with a new outlook on life, “I can’t go back to that, this is my life and I’m thankful for it” said Quan. Things seemed to look bright again for the aspiring rapper, as fate would have it he met the man that would serve as his mentor, CEO Tezzy. Seeing the remarkable talent in Quan, Tezzy offered him a deal with his label L.O.R (Loyalty Over Royalties). Known for his outstanding work ethic, Quan remained in the studio non-stop, where he met then label mate Mafio. With similar work styles and determined attitudes, Mafio and Quan decided to form a group called, No Sleep Gang. The group’s name served as homage to their all night work habits and countless hours spent doing what they love, creating music. Quickly gaining momentum, the No Sleep Gang acquired a following with many anticipating the release of their first project Money Season. The mixtape which was slated to drop January 1, 2012 was struck by tragedy when close friend and mentor to Quan, Tezzy passed away just two weeks prior to its scheduled release.

Rich Homie Quan has not had an easy road, proving why fans love him for his honest lyrics and triumphant spirit. Quan who is preparing to re-release his infamous mixtape has fans patiently waiting to hear the four new tracks that are featured on Still Goin In Reloaded. Quan had this to say about what’s in store, “I’m armed with good music and here to stay”. With an incredible fan base, infectious music and backed by the best in the game, many are convinced Rich Homie Quan is certified next to blow.
