LA-based artist morgxn has revealed his brand new song “carry the weight,” as well as powerful accompanying visuals, here. “carry the weight” is the latest track from morgxn’s forthcoming debut album vital, slated for release on May 18th via wxnderlost records/Hollywood Records (see Spotify pre-save here). morgxn recently wrapped European tour dates supporting X Ambassadors and is set to make festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Firefly, Cayuga and Laurelive this summer.
“carry the weight,” directed by Moses Moreno, paints a dramatic picture of morgxn literally battling his own demons and obstacles. Armed with a sledgehammer, morgxn smashes the windshield of a car that follows him home, symbolizing the “weight” that many bear in their individual journeys.
morgxn says: it can get messy. it can make no sense. but at the core – we are all learning to combine our sensitive voice with the weight of our personal strength.
“carry the weight” is my personal anthem. and it exists because i am constantly learning to stand up for myself and for my family and friends.
morgxn has received praise from a wide variety of publications such as V magazine, Billboard, NYLON, Alternative Press, FLAUNT, Popjustice with support from radio stations like KCRW and SiriusXM. morgxn’s songs have over 10.5MM collective streams on Spotify with his song, “home” coming in with 6.5MM alone. “home” has also been featured along with other select tracks on ABC, HBO, SHOWTIME, NBC, The CW and USA Networks.
