Montage
Bio
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Montage is a group of musicians making sense of the chaos, existential fatigue, and the strange beauty that occasionally bleeds through. Drawing from alternative rock, the ’70s psychedelic wave, and modern indie, Montage builds a jagged landscape for audiences to reflect, feel, and immerse themselves in.
At the heart of Montage is vocalist and lyricist Aidan Cole, whose songwriting blends visceral honesty with poetic nuance, capturing emotional truths in vivid imagery. His longtime creative partner, Luke Francis, is a guitarist with a sharp instinct for texture and tension—crafting melodic lines that shimmer, distort, and cut through the noise with cinematic intensity.
Aidan and Luke’s friendship began in 2007, eventually leading them from Atlanta to Los Angeles in 2016. There, they spent five formative years creating in a home studio under the mentorship of Don Wilson, the creative force behind iconic ’80s visuals like Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror” and A-ha’s “Take on Me.” The studio became a sanctuary for experimentation, offering a space to push beyond their garage rock beginnings and refine their artistic voices.
In 2021, they returned to Atlanta with sharpened instincts and a clear vision. That’s when Montage was formed—back in the rehearsal room, joined by drummer, Otto McDonald and bassist, Nathan Forsyth. Together they fuse raw, live energy with studio-honed precision to create something wild, honest, and unmistakably their own.
