Mackenzie Ziegler

Bio

Mackenzie Ziegler, born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 4, 2004, is a professional dancer, singer and actress.

Following in her older sister’s footsteps, Mackenzie has been dancing since the age of two.

In 2011, Mackenzie, her sister Maddie, and their mother Melissa Gisoni were cast on LifeTime’s hit reality TV series “Dance Moms”, which allowed Mackenzie to grow as an artist and pursue other passions such as acting and singing.

On the music front, Mackenzie released her debut album in 2014 which soared to #1 on the iTunes pop chart list,  #7 on the overall album charts, and her music video for the song “It’s A Girl Party” reached #1 in the US, UK and Australia. Radio Disney listeners can hear her catchy singles.  Mackenzie went on to record and star in “Freaks Like Me” by Todrick Hall and later recorded “Day & Night” with Johnny Orlando. Most recently, Mackenzie released a single “Monsters (aka Haters)”.  Her music videos have received collectively over 120 million views to date. 2017 marked the start of live touring for Mackenzie as she embarked on the “Day & Night” tour with Johnny Orlando.

This was a fantastic year for Mackenzie as she twice guest starred on Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for her social media as Choice Muser, was the face of Clean & Clear‘s Fall back-to-school campaign, starred in Ralph Lauren’s Kids Spring and Fall/Winter campaigns, and released a dress line partnership with Emily West, which is available at Kohls.  On top of all of this, she has announced a 2018 book! Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, will publish MACKENZIE’S RULES FOR LIFE: How to be Happy, Healthy, and Dance to Your Own Beat by Mackenzie Ziegler.
