Jonah Love is a 21 year old hip-hop artist from Hanford, California who turned his life around by channeling adversity into creativity. Overcast by a vicious neighborhood backdrop and plagued with personal struggles, Jonah sought an escape and headed eastward on a one way ticket to New York City, where he found a new lease on life. He quickly secured small wins by modeling for famed streetwear brands like BAPE, finding community in the fashion scene. While agencies discouraged him from modeling full time due to being an inch too short, he has consistently resurged on the runway as part of the teen-spirited vanguard of New York City, recently walking for Tombogo F/W 24, appearing in digital campaigns for New Era, and signing with Next Management for modeling. Still with a chip on his shoulder, he found a new voice through penning emotionally charged lyrics, leading to his first viral success with the song ‘Coe Park’ and accompanying social media fame. Audiences online resonated with his unique sense of personal style, use of vintage record samples in his production, and the truth of his song, which documents his dark past and personal connection to Hanford. This pivotal moment paved the way for him to continue documenting the chapter and verse of growing up, now with the co-sign of 88rising. While renowned digital creators like Kids Take Over and Our Generation Music continue to buzz around Jonah’s cult of personality, Jonah gears up for the release of his EP ‘Judy’s Stoop’, a reflection on who he used to be and now his becoming.
