Bio
Brennan has been a guitarist since the age of 9 and has kept up with the study and love of music ever since. He has played and collaborated in many different projects spanning an array of genres. Surf punk, country, classic rock, bluegrass, jazz, acapella, hip hop, folk, heavy metal, avant garde, EDM, classical, modernism, romanticism, rockabilly, and music for toddlers are all a part of Brennan’s arsenal of music performance and composing capabilities.
Brennan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Music Therapy with focus on Classical guitar performance from Duquesne University in 2013. Throughout his college career he worked in many different clinical settings such as The Western PA School for the Blind, The Western Psychiatric Institute, The Children’s Institute, UPMC Mercy, and The Villa St. Joseph Nursing Home. All of which involved group leading through music therapy activities such as song performance, song writing, and improvisation. Although Music Therapy is not currently the path his career seems to be traveling, a master’s degree is still a very serious consideration for the future.
Brennan worked and taught professionally at Batavia studios in Cranberry, PA for 2 years. He taught around 20 students per week and they ranged from ages 5 – 50. Brennan teaches guitar, piano, percussion incorporating theoretical knowledge of music and offers compositional and songwriting guidance. Currently Brennan is living in Los Angeles working as a freelance videographer and musician.
Brennan also performs professionally at weddings, events, restaurants, banquets, galleries, etc. Most notably he has performed for State senator Rich Alloway, Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson, President of Duquesne Charles Dougherty, and at the 5 star Nemacolin Woodlands resort. In the summer of 2011 Brennan was invited to participate in the three week long SoundSCAPE composition and performance symposium in Maccagno, Italy where he met many exteremly talented and forward thinking composers and performers from around the world. Brennan was also the winner of the prestigious Woman’s Advisory Board 10,000$ scholarship competition in his junior year of college.
Currently Brennan is pursuing his solo career as a singer/songwriter under the name ForgetBrennan and produces/directs/writes/edits all of his song and visual content.
