COMING UP FROM THE ATLANTA UNDERGROUND IS “DIM” – A BAND BRINGING YOU AN ENERGETIC AND EMOTIONAL POP ROCK SOUND THAT IS FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS. FEATURING SINGER MATT MULKEY, DRUMMER BEN CATO, AND GUITARISTS NICK LOWRY & CHARLIE PINKARD – THEY’VE COME TOGETHER TO BE “THE LIGHT INTO THE DAWN” DURING THE CONFUSION AND CHAOS OF THIS MODERN WORLD.

The guys officially came together in March of 2020 – literally when things in the world seemed rather “dim.” For over 10 years, their paths crossed as they each followed creative pursuits. They finally decided to come together and create something they’ve all had within them:  lighting a spark within each other and bringing some light into the darkness.

Ben and Nick went to high school together and grew up playing in a band called, “1994.” Shortly after, the band went its separate ways Ben joined “The Dangerous Summer.” After 7 years with TDS, he felt it was time he got back to his local roots. The world was on hold so he called the guys to create a true passion project together. Ben had known Matt with his involvement in other past & current local bands (Matt helped start a band called, “Woe, Is Me” and wrote their first few songs before the band ever officially launched, he has a solo project titled, “MOLEKEY” and is also fronting a group by the name of “Young Mountain”).

Their debut album, which is set to release in the summer of 2021 was co-produced and recorded by Jeremy Nichols of Space Jockey Sound. Jeremy and Charlie have had a long relationship as they both played and toured in a local band called “Looks To Make History,” so the decision was an easy one when deciding who they wanted to help develop their sound + Jeremy has fully joined the band playing bass as of 2022. Knowing the past and close relationships everyone had – the path was clear to give things a shot and create an original sound which is now known as “dim.”
